Window Blinds · Natural wood warmth

Wooden Blinds

Wooden blinds are made of real wooden slats that tilt open and closed. Tilt them slightly for soft, striped daylight, close them for privacy, or raise them fully to open up the window. The natural grain brings a warmth that suits living rooms, studies and bedrooms.

Why Choose It

Why choose Wooden Blinds

Real wooden slats that tilt to control light and bring natural warmth to living rooms, studies and bedrooms.

Real wood warmth

Natural wood grain gives a warm, rich look that fabric blinds can't match.

Tilt to steer the light

Turn the slats to send daylight up to the ceiling, down to the floor, or block it — without raising the blind.

Privacy without darkness

Angle the slats upwards and light still comes in while people outside can't see in.

Finishes to match

Natural, stained and painted shades to go with your floors, doors and furniture.

Good To Know

Before you choose

  • Real wood is not suited to wet areas like bathrooms or right above a kitchen sink — steam and splashes can warp the slats.
  • Wooden blinds are heavier than fabric blinds. Very wide windows are often split into two or more blinds so each one is easy to lift.
  • When raised, the slats stack at the top of the window and cover a little of the glass.
  • When closed, small gaps at the cord holes and slat edges let in a little light. Add blackout curtains if you need a fully dark room.

We don't recommend real wood where there is steam or splashing water, because moisture can warp the slats. For bathrooms and kitchens, a roller blind in a moisture-resistant fabric is a better choice.

Close the slats flat and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth or duster, then turn them the other way and repeat. For marks, use a barely damp cloth and dry the wood straight away.

Wooden blinds have solid slats that tilt, giving you precise control over light and privacy. Bamboo blinds are woven and filter light into a soft glow, with a more relaxed, earthy look. Choose wood for living rooms and studies, bamboo for balconies and natural-style rooms.
